

Friday we celebrated Butch's birthday. He got in a round of golf and we had friends over for pizza and cake. The early mornings and evenings are very pleasant but 90 degrees at midday are not my cup of tea!
![]() ...abound at the Tucson Book Festival. We took in several hours yesterday at the huge event staged on the University of Arizona campus. A long wait in line snagged us a couple of seats for a panel called "Masters of Mystery" featuring one of my favorites, John Sanford, plus J.A. Jance and T. Jefferson Parker. We also took in a couple of workshops and walked about four miles. I will go back today for more workshops. ![]() Our camping spot is quite different from the wilderness of the last one in New Mexico. It's a commercial place on the edge of Tucson--a nice spot with plenty of amenities but close neighbors and less scenery--although the sunrises are nice. Friday we celebrated Butch's birthday.
